The DISC Model
The DISC online and paper personality test or profile is a
nonjudgmental assessment providing insight into behavioral styles and
personality types in relation to people, situations and the environment one is
in. On its most superficial level it provides four general characteristic
quadrants and then reveals more in-depth feedback based on the combination of
these four categories. These four DISC dimensions of behavior are:
Dominance:
Those who tend to be focused, the point, decisive, and results oriented.
These people are independent and look to the bottom-line. They are
strong-willed people who enjoy challenges, taking action, and immediate
feedback in what they do.
Influence:
Outgoing and optimistic. Highly social and out going. They prefer
participating on teams, sharing, entertaining and energizing others.
Steadiness:
Empathetic & Cooperative. These people are team players and are
supportive and helpful to others. They prefer being behind the scene,
working in consistent and predictable ways. They are often good
listeners and avoid change and conflict
Conscientiousness:
Concerned, Cautious or Correct. They are focused on details and quality.
They plan ahead, constantly check for accuracy, and what to know "how"
and "why".
